Infinity Park Way Re-visited

Infinity Park Way, a new road connecting Chellaston to Sinfin was opened more than a year ago and has become part of the local scenery.  It includes wide shared off road pedestrian.cycle paths and shows how all new roads should be.
A post on this blog in March 2016 showed photographs and video of the road in the final stages of construction.
Here is a video of the road and cycling paths as it is today.

This was filmed on a quiet Sunday afternoon, hence the lack of motor and cycle traffic.  It would be much busier on a normal weekday.
Note the trees which line the route on both sides.  These are alternately Oak and Ash, and they will be a fine sight in years to come when they reach maturity.
The camera is mounted on my Ebike and the speed along this pristine path surface is recorded as 14 mph, just below the motor cut off speed of 15.5 mph, this being the legal maximum speed for pedalecs.
